About Us
When we first decided to open Glenn Burney Smashburger, it was from the desire to serve Parry Sound citizens with high-quality, delicious food at reasonable prices. Since then, we’ve been known as the only stop you need to make to get your belly full.
GB Smashburger is what happens when passionate food lovers get together and decide to share their talents with the world. Everything is made fresh and ready to take on the go at your convenience.
What’s a Smashburger?
A Smashburger is a unique and delicious type of hamburger.
To make our Smashburger, we start with a whole AAA brisket. We remove the fat cap, freeze it, then coarse grind the meat and fat separately. This prevents the fat from breaking down in the grinding process. The meat and the fat are then mixed together and then formed into 5oz spheres.
They are then “smashed” onto a 500ºF griddle which caramelizes the meat and seals in the juices.
It’s served with lettuce and tomato on a Martin’s Potato Bun. You can add bacon, cheese, sautéed onions, and any of our premium toppings.
